Veer-Zaara, Yash Chopra’s timeless romantic drama featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box office. Released in November 2004, the film’s cross-border love story continues to captivate audiences, with recent re-releases in 2023 and 2024 adding to its impressive earnings.

Initially, Veer-Zaara grossed Rs 98 crore globally during its original run, with Rs 61 crore from India and Rs 37 crore from overseas markets. Over the years, various re-releases contributed Rs 2.50 crore. In February 2023, the film earned Rs 30 lakh, while its most recent re-release in September 2024 brought in Rs 1.45 crore in just five days. As of September 17, 2024, the movie’s total box office collection stands at Rs 102.25 crore.

The film’s sustained success mirrors a growing trend in Indian cinema, where older films are being rediscovered and enjoyed by a new generation. With National Cinema Day approaching and tickets priced at Rs 99, Veer-Zaara is set to remain in theatres for another week, further adding to its box office legacy.
